“The house I live in is in Texas and it is a 520 square foot garage which has the walls and ceilings insulated. It also has three windows in it as well as the garage door (which is not insulated). After checking our area for the code requirements, I wired the 240v/30 amp electrics myself.
I mounted the unit so that it hung from the ceiling, switched it on and within a couple of hours the upper part of the garage had already reached 60o F (bearing in mind it was close to 35oF outside). I decided to let the unit run overnight and by next morning the garage had risen to 75oF, even though the outside temperature was still in the mid-thirties. There is a thermostat on the unit and you can set it so that when the temperature reaches a certain level it will switch off the heater coils and fan.
All in all, the unit is perfect for our needs. It is at a great price, is compact and heats the garage really well.”
