Fahrenheat Ceiling-Mount
Automatic 5000 Watt Electric Heater, Model FUH5-4
This product can be classed in the
electric garage heaters range as well as for use in domestic
situations such as homes and basements, and work places and
work spaces.
The Fahrenheat Ceiling-Mount Automatic 5000
Watt Electric Heater is not only able to heat the area up
quickly, it also saves on floor space. When the heater is
started up, the fan action is delayed until the heating
elements have warmed up, which means there is no blast of cold
air at start-up. And when the unit has been turned off, the fan
keeps running until the heating element has cooled down. A
great feature of this electric garage heater is the fact that
it has a built-in thermostat. Heat is distributed evenly
throughout the entire space thanks to as horizontal heat flow
as well as an adjustable down flow, via the 17,065 BTU/hr
powerful heating element, which, because it is a plated fin
element, discharges the heat evenly.

Below is a customer review of the Fahrenheat Ceiling-Mount
Automatic 5000 Watt Electric Heater, Model# FUH5-4 as
summarized from a popular online shopping site:
“This is a great, really easy to install electric heater. We
have a 1500 square foot basement that is open and unfinished
below our house, and we needed to heat it. The basement has a
door access to the outside, as well as several windows. We
found, much to our delight, that the heater maintained an
extremely comfortable temperature throughout the basement, even
in the coldest months. In saying that, our basement has been
insulated, but we are under the impression that this heater
would have done the same thing even if it wasn’t.
We realised that the fan in the heater wasn’t
intended to cover the size of our basement, so we improvised by
setting up two small five inch fans to help circulate the warm
air. We also had a dehumidifier running, so these fans helped
circulate the air from this as well. This is a good deal better
than getting two or three units! It is also much safer as this
single 5000 watt heater only required one circuit, not to
mention cheaper to install (if you need a professional to do it
for you).
We found that the thermostat did a good job of
regulating the temperature and we have now been using this for
a couple of years without any problems at all. The delay in the
fan start is also a great feature as you avoid any cold blasts
of air at the beginning, and the fact it doesn’t turn off until
the heat has dissipated is also great.
We found that this setup also managed to heat
the upper floor as well, without making it too hot for bear
feet. It also helped eliminate creaking from the upper
baseboards because there was less cycling.
The fan is relatively quiet, as we had this installed directly
below our bedroom, and it was hardly audible in the evenings
when we were in bed. All things considered, we think this is a
good quality electric garage heater which was very easy to
install.”
