Dimplex #DGWH4031 4000-Watt

exception. The unit has a powerful fan along with a

versatile bracket for mounting and it can attach to either a
ceiling or the wall. As well as this, the heater swivels so as
to direct the heat. It has an automatic temperature control to
assist in maintain stable temperatures in the range of 45-77
degrees Fahrenheit. For more economical performance, the fan
delay utilizes residual heat. The unit has a total output of
13,648 BTU.
Below is a summarized customer review from a popular online
store:
“I bought the unit to heat the garage which is found under
my home, and which measures 24x24 with a 7’ 6” ceiling height.
As I live in western Connecticut, during the colder months the
temperature drops as far as the low 40’s.
As soon as I installed the heater and powered it up, it only
took around ten minutes to take the chill out of the air.
Within an hour the garage had risen to a respectable and
comfortable 62 degrees – fifteen degrees more than when the
unit was switched on. After the second hour we were at 68
degrees. With the built-in thermostat, turning it to around the
three-quarter mark maintains the room temperature nicely.
Although the internal fan of the unit is a bit noisy, the
fact that it is in (and designed for) a garage or workshop
means that this is not really an issue at all, so no big deal.
On the whole though, the unit is really well made and easy to
get installed. I actually hung it in the center ceiling, about
four feet in from the far wall. The bracket allows for various
mounting options.
Someone with a bigger space than my own would probably
require more capacity from a larger unit, maybe 5000 watts or
more, but for a single garage like mine (or even a
well-insulated double garage) this unit really is great value
for money.
